Chris Jordan travelled to Midway in the Pacific taking pictures of the corpses of albatross chicks. The chicks remains are often stuffed with plastic odds and ends, ingested as their parents feed them plastic flotsam they find adrift at sea. Believing it to be food the parents ferry the human waste back and unknowingly kill their young. Albatross lay a single egg during the breading season. This is a prime example of how we’re not paying attention to the long term effects of our actions.
