Being a dick gets more done for me and I hate it. I couldn’t get my advisor to get back to me so I weaseled my way to her boss. Over the phone and innocently asked if she had gone on vacation or was out of the office. I went over my whole sob story about how my registration was complicated and I had gotten in touch with her weeks before my registration time. That, I followed up with emails and phone calls and was now wondering if maybe she had gone off for summer vacation. “Would you be able to give me the name of someone else in the department I could talk with?” I knew what I was doing, exactly what I was doing. An hour later I had an email sitting in my inbox from the advisor with a tentative schedule.
Now my fall registration is all but complete. Except for some reason I can’t get into classes that are being held for, get this, people in my department/major. Way to go programmers on that. I have requests in though so by next week I should hopefully have this sorted out.
The winter session is another story. For some odd reason it doesn’t look to see if you’re taking the pre-req in the fall and thus let you register for the next class. Instead if gives you and error saying you can’t register for that class. Once again did no one think to test this software out after they finished coding it?
